Taking equal parts urgency and angst, Maker has been weaving forceful and undeniably catchy songs for the better part of 5 years now. Their latest EP, simply entitled “Maker”, is a testament to their hard work and dedication as songwriters and musicians. The “Maker” EP is being released on November 13th through Engineer records in the UK/Europe, distributed in the U.S.A by Asbestos Records, and on vinyl via Black Numbers. This 5 song EP showcases the maturity they have been striving to hit ever since they started Maker in a Massachusetts basement some few years ago.
“Maker” is the follow up to last years critically acclaimed full length “Mirrors”, which was released on CD/Digital on 6131 records and on vinyl via Animal Style records, respectively. They recorded this new EP at Zing Studios in Westfield, MA with the help of producer/engineer Eric Arena (A Day To Remember, Farewell To Freeway, The Modern Day Saint) and Jim Fogarty (The Devil Wears Prada, All That Remains, Arrows Over Athens). They recently shot a video for their first single “Shadows” with director Rob Soucy (Make Do And Mend, Defeater, A Loss For Words) and just finished up a UK tour with platinum recording artist Hawthorne Heights. From November 16th-December 23rd they are heading out on a full US tour with Major League (No Sleep Records) and Turnover (Run For Cover Records).
Maker has been known for their relentless touring prowess and is poised to finally create their own niche of Indie infused pop-punk and become a staple in the music scene. With a slew of tours and releases under their belt and armed with a new EP, Maker looks to be sure that anyone and everyone will hear what they have to say. Will you be listening?
